What are you supposed to do when you’re a bird that’s afraid of flying and all his friends are going South for the Winter? Dougal wakes up every morning from nightmares about falling from the sky.
I won’t say too much else about this film because it is only nine minutes long and it is well worth a watch.
Conor Finnegan directed and wrote this film. RTÉ have started a weekly selection of a short film called Director’s Pick. This week Fear of Flying was selected by Conor’s brother Lorcan, director of Vivarium. There’s a whole host of Irish shorts on the RTÉ website and Screen Ireland‘s YouTube page!
